Mr. Farquharson attends the Annex Baptist Church, Wolff Road and Pinedale. He is married to the former Elizabeth Pratt and has two sons Antonio and Robert. He has attended numerous Trade Union seminars, conferences and workshops locally and internationally. Mr. Farquharson also serves as the General Secretary of the National Congress of Trade Unions. He has served in many capacities in the BCPOU including Shop Stewart, Chaplin, Secretary General, director of the BCPOU Major Medical Plan, Trustee of the BCPOU Pension Plan and Acting President. Before assuming the role President and Administrator of the BCPOU in June 2003 Mr. Farquharson's duties also included Contract Negotiations, Industrial Relations, Education & Training and head of the newly established Consultant Division.
